New BLOG!!!

August 19, 2009

As some of your may have noticed this blog hasn’t been updated for a while and there are two reasons for this: firstly I’ve been crazy busy the last few weeks travelling all over the country for one of my big commercial clients and all my time has been put into my clients specifically and on editing photos and I literally haven’t had time to devote to my blog so I truly must apologize; secondly and more excitingly I have a new blog – http://stuartjames.typepad.com!! There are soooo many updates to come onto this blog in the coming days and it is the final stage in the exciting rebranding of my company. Please update your RSS feeds and jump onto the subscribe list that will be appearing on the new typepad blog soon!!

I look forward to seeing you all over there!!

Claire and Andy

June 6, 2009

Today I had the pleasure of photographing a fantastic wedding at Wollaston Free Church and the Ramada Hotel at Bewdley.
Claire and Andy booked me many months ago in early 2007 to photograph their wedding and although the weather wasnt with us today I certainly think we had a good time and captured a great set of photos too…
Here are just a couple of shots to whet your appetite…more will follow in a few days time when Claire and Matt Andy [ :o ( ] are back from Madeira…

What a great church

Very natural...and a lot of fun!!

Beautiful window light...

Hope you both have a fantastic time on honeymoon. Looking forward to seeing you both when I get back from a few days in the sun too!
The post-wedding ‘Shoot the Dress’ Session will be great fun!!!

Last Saturday I photographed a lovely wedding in Lichfield at the Registry Office then onto the Compass Suites in Aldridge. It isn’t very often I work within my immediate local area so to be shooting at the registry office in Lichfield with the gorgeous setting of the Beacon Gardens and with the Cathedral in the background, when the weather is with you it can be a fantastic location for photographs!
On Saturday morning I really did not expect to be able to work outside as the weather was horrendous, but quite miraculously a window of literally 60 minutes without rain opened up when we went in for the ceremony and lasted until we were taking the last photo outside before heading into the awaiting chariot from Special Day Services, a stunning 1938 Daimler Limousine.
At the Compass Suites, which are only 5 minutes from my home, it was all very relaxed and  very personal as the manager of the Compass Suites is a lifelong friend of the Bride’s having known each other from the tender age of 4.5years I was reliably informed during the day.
Having chosen their album photos today, Clare and Matt are off to Sorrento tomorrow and I hope they have a fantastic time! Also, if you are a friend of Clare or Matts their photos are now available to view online at http://clients.stuartjamesphoto.com

Here are a couple of my favourites from their day along with a slideshow giving you a glimpse of a few more…
