On Saturday I photographed my first wedding of the year at the sublime Weston Park – and thoroughly enjoyed every minute!
Weston Park is one of my favourite venues in the UK and Hannah and Jon’s wedding was a stunning wedding from start to end.
I began at 10am and went through the whole day with them, covering the preparations right through to the dancing and partying on the night. The whole wedding part was with us all day long and it makes such a difference. The reaction on the night to the few shots I did a speedy edit on straight out of camera and put on the MacBookPro for people to see brought a fantastic reaction from the guests and I can’t wait to get the album back and be able to send it to Hannah and Jon!
It is again another stunning Jorgsensen Album and from the design I completed earlier this week it looks amazing…I can’t wait to get it through now.

Here are a few of my favourites from the wedding…enjoy!

Believe it or not this is actually the original front of the house!

Hannah's Dad's speech went down a treat

And the best man's speech made Jon choke...

I love late evening light

Again...stunning!

The Orangery is probably my favourite part of Weston Park

The D3 is a joy to use in low light

Can you tell why I love it?

Night time elegance

I love returning to the same angles I've used earlier in the day to show the passage of time...

Hope you’re both having a fantastic honeymoon.
See you soon.

Joe was one of the original Rock & Roll Stars to come out of the UK. One of the first UK session men, his early career highlights include playing guitar with Gene Vincent, Eddie Cochran, Johnny Cash and other US stars when they came over to Europe. Joe went on to top the charts with his own records.
Although he doesn’t play any shows other than theatres in current times, for M6J9 he made an exception and when everything was (finally!) in place he came on…

It was nice to be working again at the Bankss Stadium and a few of the shots are below, just so you can get a feel for the night.
A full review of the show should be available online at http://www.m6j9.co.uk/reviews_previews/ later this week.

Saturday 11th April saw the start of my 2009 wedding season and what a stunning wedding it was!
Katie and David got married at Christ Church, Tettenhall Wood just a short walk from the Bride’s family home with the reception at The Moat House, Acton Trussell.
Although Katie’s family are based in Tettenhall, the Bride and Groom actually live up near Newcastle and it really was a proper Geordie celebration.
I had a fantastic time photographing their wedding and I am incredibly happy with the photos, of which just a few are below. I can’t wait to design the album tomorrow and get it under production in Australia!

On a technical side it was the first wedding outing for the 24-70mm f2.8 Nikon lens on the D3 and was accompanied by my trusty old 80-200mm f2.8…such a simple pairing and a joy to use. The quality of the images straight out of the camera and the control of light made easily possible by the SB900 Speedlight, my editing on the new MacPro System with Dual Monitors was a true pleasure…roll on the rest of the season!!!

Hope you both have a fantastic time on your honeymoon in Europe…see you soon!!

Firstly I must apologise for not updating on here for the past month! Its been absolutely crazy trying to get new things in place for the new season and I have been slack in not updating on here but I promise I will endeavor to keep a constant flow of new posts coming for the rest of the year!!

Now onto a brighter note…
Last week I had the chance of a week off so me and Beki went down to Somerset and had a great 5 days camping near Bridgwater. It was so nice to just get out and have a break from the office and we had a fantastic time, and we were very lucky with the weather too!
The area was really nice to see again as I used to stay down there years ago and I think I can safely say we’ll be going back in a few months time…

Here are just a few shots from our week…more updates coming soon!!
